Cleaning process
10 steps to a professional clean
Step 1
On arrival we will double check exactly what is required to be cleaned. We place a protective sheet on the floor where we will be working. Visually check the exterior of the appliance for visible damage and check the appliance works correctly and if fitted the lights work correctly. If any bulbs need replacing advise of cost and replace if requested. If there’s any evidence of previous attempts at cleaning advise the customer of what potential damage may be present after cleaning.
Step 2
Dismantle the oven removing the shelves, trays and if fitted, the back panel that covers the fan and rear element.
Step 3
Take all the removed parts out to the van and place them in the specialist heated tank to remove all the grease and burnt on food.
Step 4
Pre heat the oven to help soften the burnt-on food and grease. Remove the oven door and seal and if removable, the fan. Scrape the sides, bottom, back and roof of the oven to start removing the burnt-on food and grease. Apply our seaweed based degreaser and scrub the sides, bottom, back and roof of the oven again. Wipe out and scrape again. Apply our cleaning paste and scrub the sides, bottom, back and roof again. Wipe out and scrub and scrape one final time removing any last bits of burnt on food and grease. Clean the fan and reattach that back on the motor.
Step 5
Clean the door seal and reattach. Strip the door where possible to clean the glass and in between the panes of glass and reassemble the door. Put the oven door back on.
Step 6
Return to the van and remove all the parts that were previously left to soak. Rinse them off with clean water and dry.
Step 7
Final buff of the oven and reassemble and check correct operation.
Step 8
Clean and buff the front of the oven.
Step 9
Tidy up and clean the work area.
Step 10

If I’m cleaning the hob:
Check for any visible damage and advise customer. Remove the pan stands and place them in the heated tank if suitable. Strip and clean the burners and caps and control knobs. Clean the hob and reassemble. Remove pan stands from tank, rinse with clean water and dry. Replace pan stands on the hob.
If I’m cleaning the extractor:
Check for any visible damage and advise customer. Remove the filters, if paper filters replace with new filters. If metal or aluminium filters they are cleaned and degreased. The extractor body is then cleaned and degreased and then reassembled.
